      Hey Chase, thank you for more detailed input. I have done a lot of reading on countless websites, but I have not really found the first steps for a new carver. I have done one eagle, following the step-by-step pictures found on the internet and it looks like part really ugly eagle or maybe a vulture and half turtle or really ugly mutant form. So getting a few pointers on getting use to basic cuts, really helps. I will try the warm up exercises and practice cuts you mentioned. Thanks for your help.
