      I'm coming in a bit late on this one Johnny you may have moved on but anyway lets see
      As far as I know there is only the tank pickup pipe that has a filter on it assuming that is still attached.
      Are you using a good chain bar oil? and not going for ordinary engine oil which can be too thin hence the spraying on of oil especially in this hot wheather just now.
      If you are running a short carving bar on the 180 it do'es tend to pour more oil out
