Starting a new thread here to help with picture posting info and will link this to the forum header for easy future reference. Please limit your response to specific questions & answers on this post, we appreciate any help along the way.

Post a piccy;
first step you must login,
begin a new post,
click down into the message area then
scroll down the screen and click on "insert object"
left screen click "temporary files"
next click "upload"
click browse
this window opens up your pc, find your pic there and click "open"
>note- it must be formatted in jpeg and have no spacing in the title,
example; mark 1 will not work, try mark1<
click the "upload" button right next to the browse button.
wait a little & give it a chance to load,
your pic should eventually come up in the right screen
>note- if it does not you have to start over with a smaller pic,
the file size is too big. practice on a business size pic<
next click on "insert link" button.
this should bring you back to the post-message screen and there will be a long code# ending in JPG
scroll down the screen and click "preview"
>note- always preview, if your pic does not come up on the preview screen it didn't work. do not let a word or letter touch the code#, there must be a break between them or it will not work.<
don't give up, keep trying, it has taken some of us a great deal of time to catch on.
this info is based on scanned pics, i'll need some help here for digi pics
>tips- crop your picture before scanning, focus in on the subject, cut out as much background unless of course it's that kind of photo, small pics load faster,
big pics take forever & blow the screen out sideways, scan pics at a low dpi, 200? put your text & descriptions at the top of the message screen above the photo JPG link so we can read what's coming up whilst it downloads<

Hypertext links
If you post a web-site, for example www.carvingpost.com readers have to copy/paste
or type in the address. If you prefix your site with http:// it will come up as a hyper-link, just click & go http://www.carvingpost.com

Suggestion- print this post & give it a try, if you still have trouble don't hesitate to respond here and somebody can probably help.

Bummer- all pics on this forum are temporary and last a couple weeks at best, hopefully someday we can find a way around that,,, good luck

Yeah the first few times that you use PhotoBucket are tough because the interface does not lead you step by step. Follow these steps and if all else fails email me and I can walk you through it.

1.) Register with PhotoBucket
2.) Browse to the photo that you want
3.) Once the browse process is complete, the URL for your picture is in the window.
4.) Hit the Upload button and wait a while for your picture to appear in the thumbnail window
5.) If you have more than one picture in your thumnail window, the active picture will have a black border around it.
6.) Left click once in the URL window to highlight.
7.) Right click and choose COPY.
8.) Go to the body of the Post message and Right click and Paste.
9.) You won't see the picture appear until you Preview or Post the message.
10) The picture will expire in a few weeks, and will appear as a box with a red X in the middle.
11.) There is a much more advanced way to post pictures if you have space alloted to you by your internet provider. I can help you with that if you are interested.
12.) Thanks as always to Wears Many Hats, who taught me all of this wonderful stuff. Hats off to you brother!!
