Don't paint them! As eagles go the beaks are quite short, but they have great sculptural apeal that would be lost if painted. Your rocks are very nice and give a great strength to your total picture, and are in a good scale. With the right wood stain/preservative the would look like bronze, which would be a great look for them! I recently did an eagle that I got carried away with for what I was trading for. It had a parrot beak in the end because I was in a hurry to get rid of it and get back to work doing "money" jobs, but in stain it looked wonderful. I left it the hell alone, because anything more would've been detrimental to the overall look of the piece. Doc
