whats a good way to do chainsaw only eyes on a bear mabe some pics will help also
im thinking about entering in the comp thats here in mi but i dont know how to make good looking eyes with the saw so please help as i would like to place in a comp

john im no expert but practice would help get a scrap board and practice. also i do not know if you modify your chains but that helps with detail even if it was stock saw chain mods would help
I'll second Jamie's video on his web site. I think he does a fair amount of detail chainsaw only. Plus you get to see the pneumatic chainsaw in action. Reminds me of a dentist's office.
you do the top of the eye from underneath (flip the saw over), and the bottom of the eye from above. It's tough to do eyes smaller than the bar tip unless you have empty space to the side. Does that help?
First make a dished hollow area for the eye, then you can carve the eye several ways. One way is to make a peaked eye like the top of a triangle then a half circle below...or make two half circles and join them into a roundish eye....or in one circular twisting movement make a small circle for the eye. When done forming the eye use the dime tip to cove above the eye to form an eyebrow mound over the eye. You can also add a heavy lower lid effect by adding a semi circle below the eye socket. For small eyes like on a pheasant make several small touch-cuts until a round eye is formed. Hope that helps ya some.
