Dayton took a test ride on her the other day and says she rides real well. I will be finishing her in a couple of days and she will be ready for the long ride. She should be an eye catcher going down the freeway.
The other breast needs to be finished and the tires blackened and an oak slab cut to replace the white pine used to hold the carving while working on it and finishing it.
This picture I took a couple of years ago makes me think of the Golden Chainsaw Competition.
I spent the day putting a finish on most of her and will try to have a new base slab of white oak added next week and also do some refining of her eyes and toes. She is carved out of white oak and the finish is TWP black walnut on her clothes, hair and tires. TWP clear was used on her skin and the wheels. I scorched the tires, pitch black before adding the TWP black walnut to give them a darker color. I also used some TWP dark oak on a light shaded area on her right arm.
She will be placed outside near the highway and next to the Chick on a Hog to draw more motorcycle riders in for photo opportunities. I will be testing a donation box near her to see how generous the bikers will be to help pay for her cost. I could get more money out of her than if I sold her outright. The price tag on her will be outrageously high to ward off any potential buyers, because I want to keep her.
