I think you enjoy carving Buzz.Put them together and they can high five! I find it fun to do those no pressure scrap carves.

It's the nature of the beast. Seal them , but leave the bottoms to breathe. Squirrel said a long time ago to let them dry till they open tiny hairline cracks, then seal them, and go on. Doc

i carved the fronts in the heart let the outer sapwood to rear of log so any hairlines should be in rear.did not kerf cut these

Nice Buzz. I think trying to use odd scraps really makes ya be creative, especially if you can do whatever without pressure of an order or worry about messin up.

jr i usually send commission work to my carver friends , im a industrial maint mechanic for a living . all day long i have to worry about screwing up and job outsourcing so when i carve it,s my quiet time . the muney i make is just the icing on the cake
