Stihl 200

Sold a fellow a Cannon Bar for his Stihl MS200. After talking to the mfg. we decided it was okay to cut the back groove (where the bar nut goes), so that opened to daylight. Makes it more like the Oregon profile A218. Seems to be working and allow him to use the full length of the chain tensioner. Anyone else try this? Any other suggestions?
Regards, Scotty

Yup, I do this all the time. I use Sugi Hara Bars. Same procedure.

Of course, a cutting torch is a carvers best friend. You can put a dime tip carving bar on a 660.
