Am I the only one who's done several award winning carvings today, or are you people still carving?
Come on Buzz, Doc, A.J., Elvis, talk to me! I will even talk to that Ca. S.B. if that's what its down too. Wife's off to do the laundry, it's still raining like hell but it's only a block away
and I did buy her a really neat umbrella on E.Bay, did insist she take her cell phone what with that
flash flood thing and it's close to dinner and all.
You really are hard up aren't you. The next thing you know you'll be moving to minnysota or going on tour as a carving judge. I can see it now . . . A suitcase full of black and white striped shirts and a whistle.
Have you heard from Pat Jerownback lately? I heard he quit carving all together. That guy was goooood too. Wonder what he's doin.
What a coincidence!, Pat and I were talking today at the awards ceremony and your name came up, and we both agreed to how important a respirator can be.
I pride myself at thinking green, so rather than waste all that energy on machines I bought a scrubbing board and and a clothes line, did I mention that umbrella I bought her!
At the NW carvers guild show I won blue in stone, bone and ivory, Best Santa, second in group characature, blue in single characature.I can't remember the others I placed in. At Oscoda I won first place in the open division( for pro's who didn't want to drag scaffolding cross country) and peoples choice. I don't like to compete( except in business at a local level, as I am just a commercial artist getting by.) Doc
Too funny! Isn't that the guy in the old Cascade guild newsletter that ripped on everything. You know I was born in Alaska and carve on the coast of Washington so if its raining to much to where you can't see the end of your bar just do abstracts for a while it works lol.
Steve B. and I used to dole out vast amounts of priceless wisdom to those ungrateful people up there, they asked if we wouldn't mind going to some other site to help those in need, so here we are!
