Exterior Lacquer?

I did this piece a few years back finishing it with teak oil. I didn't like the finish I got so I recently sanded it down and redid it with Lacquer. I was impressed with the quick dry and the finish. I can't find a exterior lacquer, do they even make it? Or is there another product alike?

Sorry, I don't know much about finishes, but I loved your cowboy! I need to do the same as you did and cut out the iris instead of the pupil. Thank you for the insight! Sorry I couldn't be more of a help to you.

Napa has automotive lacquer, I have not tried it on my carvings but it has held up well on metal and composite work I have done over the years.

It goes for around 80.00 a gallon and needs to be thinned for spraying.

Elmer I have been using Duralaq Pro Sanding sealer which is a lacquer, for about 7 months now and love the finish I get. Then we Coat it with Log oil. Looks like it has 4 coats of log oil on it. The sanding sealer really seals the wood and dries hard in 2 hours. Cost is 20$- 27$ a gal depending on where ya get it.

Don't cut out all the iris. Cut out most of it, but leave a little connection from the side for the pupil. Try it, you'll like it. Jim
