WOW good job. i wanna try to carve an eagle sooner or later! Maybe i need to go for it and not worry about the feathers.I am just a newbie but its tempting to try!

You may have another comission next door. What happened to the rest of the tree. One picture it looks nice and tall, the next pic, it's half as tall as the ladder? Hope you took the extra home...

By the way it is very rare to get a stump in that good of shape. I personally have only had two or three stumps that don't require some type of repairing, or stabalizing, out of the 50 , or so stump jobs I have done. On most stump jobs, THe wood is usually dried out, hard as concrete, full of nails, has a run of bark through it, parts of it are rotted, or worse. But I've never walked away from one, you can do any thing if you put your mind to it.
