In an effort to increase our visibility from the road, we topped 4 existing maples at about 14' and mounted some colorful pieces on them. [linked image] [linked image] [linked image] [linked image] [linked image] [linked image] [linked image]

I'm sure you'll be asked, "How much to have something like that in my yard?"

Very good idea you had...

Evr
looks great people should be able to see you now .

How did you bed the bed on your truck
the photo with your truck looks like the center of the bed is bowed in

Blair I can't believe you carve under a pallet tarp shed .
With your talents I figure you have a giant shop with all the toys heat and air .

That was a great idea to open up the view of your roof, and the artwork will certainly draw the people in. When did you do that? I'll come by to see it when my truck gets out of the shop.

I forgot to mention the guy on the scaffold is Harley Dougherty. In an effort to save time, I had him come in and help. He carved 3 of the trees while I was doing the bird and bugs and helped me mount some of the carvings. Harley is a great guy and just set a sales record at Hackensack this year for a guest carver auction piece. Mark, the bed isn't bowed. The flat part of the roof on the building is a new addition increasing the gallery and work area by 50% and the trees had branches hanging over that would eventually be causing problems, so this was the solution. Yes I have met my new neighbors alonzo and Jason. I sold Alonzo some wood last week. They are great guys. I think that makes 11 of us on this road now.

I'm definitely glad it's finished. Butterflies are not really my thing! I think those figures were about the best thing we could have done for drawing attention (attention in a good way).
