Very very cool ... I have no doubt those beautiful creations will drag in tons of customers and they WILL buy lots and lots of bears !!
Well done ... they look great ...
Erv, that ought to get some people looking. Very well done. Have you met my friends Alonzo and Jason down at the Carving Cabin yet? I think there down the road from you.
Erv...You have created one of the best carving/studio sites i have ever seen ,I for one am envious
and plan to set fire to my pallet and blue tarp studio first thing tomorrow!
Very impressive , though somewhat humbling setup my friend!....Best of luck....R.L.
That was a great idea to open up the view of your roof, and the artwork will certainly draw the people in. When did you do that? I'll come by to see it when my truck gets out of the shop.
I forgot to mention the guy on the scaffold is Harley Dougherty. In an effort to save time, I had him come in and help. He carved 3 of the trees while I was doing the bird and bugs and helped me mount some of the carvings. Harley is a great guy and just set a sales record at Hackensack this year for a guest carver auction piece. Mark, the bed isn't bowed. The flat part of the roof on the building is a new addition increasing the gallery and work area by 50% and the trees had branches hanging over that would eventually be causing problems, so this was the solution. Yes I have met my new neighbors alonzo and Jason. I sold Alonzo some wood last week. They are great guys. I think that makes 11 of us on this road now.
Looks like you're at a camp ground, or country club, looks like a great set up. What a cool attraction. Love the giant hummin bird, makes me feel like I'm in "honey, I Srunk The Kids"...
Looks great Erv. You and Harley did an outstanding job there. That ought to increase your traffic. By the way, I am the carver that stopped by to visit you guys in June.
I'm definitely glad it's finished. Butterflies are not really my thing! I think those figures were about the best thing we could have done for drawing attention (attention in a good way).
