i think it,s slow everywhere pigeon forge, townsend, and gatlinburg are your best bet now . then florida or texas texas probably has a little money floating around after 4.00 gallon gas. this winter i might try some dremels cause its so slow.

johnny people are being evil with money being tight this past winter i had a wholesaler salesman selling my carvings. he sold 15 then i loaded him up with 8 more no carvings an wholesaler but i will find him i know everybody.make them buy them from you then if they dont sell they can exchange for different carvings. we learn as we go and doting eyes might be called for.

Johnny, sorry to hear you did business with Buck. He has ripped off other people here also. Recently, he messed with the wrong guy and the guy walked in his shop one day and shot him twice! He's back at work now, but maybe that taght him a lesson. Contrary to what others may think, it's slow here also. The people are here, but they aren't buying this year. Last month I was off 60% if that tells you anything. If things pick up next spring, I may be in the market for a good finisher if you have any interest.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I own a store in Gatlinburg, We will be closing it in 2 weeks. The last 2 yrs have been off there so we will bring all our inventory back home here in Eureka Springs.
This guy makes all of us on the retail side look bad. It only takes on to do this.
Sorry.

thank you Dave for your post,i realize that it is just a few individuals that are dishonest and not most of the retailers. I have to take part of the blame on what happened with Buck for the simple reason that i should have listened to my instinct and steered clear of the guy.I pray you have better fortune in your new location!
