Hi everyone, got a commission yesterday for a 8 foot canon, has anyone ever carved one? Thinking of adding the real side wheels to it, we are still coming up with idea's for graphics on it. Anyone have pics of a canon carved, could really use ideas. Thanks, Amy

Canon's

I have carved several for themeing purposes, but never took pictures. The canon it's self is pretty
straightforward' what it's attached to varies considerably depending on intended use(field, garrison, marine, etc. ) I patterned mine on pictures in a civil war arms book I found, research
that era or some of those civil war buffs, these guys are still shooting at each other with canons.

Best of luck ...R.L.

Forgot to mention, I assembled mine out numberses pieces.

Here is a picture of the Napolian cannon that I was asked to carve. All they wanted was the cannon itself they were going to make the carrage out of old farm equipment wheels. You can find all the specs from the net, it just depends on which cannon you need to carve.

Don't forget the cannons from the old sunken ships. On the top side near the back there is some beautiful sculpting.
