Just finished off the pelican that I had started awhile back, I painted him in the colors of an Australian pelican, carved him out of one piece of cypress, with a dowel up his beak!!

Hey ... that's a really nice pelican.
I've been out the back just now putting the finishing touches on a pelican order ... and yours is completely different.
Don't ya just love it !!

You asked Buzz ... and there it is ... the Aussie version of the bear.
A guaranteed seller.
Very nice work Richard !!

Maybe I'll post mine later ... we have a little outing tomorrow (maybe some good photo opportunities) so we will see !!

Great job Richard. Are the metal parts real? Acrylic paint? How much you want for it, including shipping to WA.

It went into my birds photo folder. Mike

Thanks everyone!

I appreciate the kind responses! Mike, The "Metal" eye bolt, shackle and rope are all carved. The paints used were a combination of oil and water based house paint that I thin to create a "stain", The metal bits are walnut stain. I would gladly sell Mr Pelican to you and ship him to Washington, But I think the freight from Australia would be a tad on the spendy side! Thanks so much for the offer though it made my day! Richard Yates
