Husky 339t with carving bar leaking lots of oil.

I have a customer that is using an Husky 339T with an cannon dime tip bar. This bar has 4-1/4" holes on top and bottom of bar by the small oiler holes. When he is using the saw he has a lot of oil coming out of the 4-1/4" holes causing an mess on floor and the wood. I'm hoping someone will know what to do to stop the oil from coming out of the 1/4" holes. Any ideas?

Thank you, Josh H

Don't put oil in the saw.

Dont know the cannon bars, all mine are Gb..but maybe turn down the oil flow?

On my 339XP I have it turned nearly off while running a 14" quarter tip and it cools fine without slinging any extra oil everywhere.

Check the inside of the sprocket cover, on my 445 the inside of the cover is molded with kind of a honeycomb pattern that lets the oil flow through the holes in the bar, into the honeycomb, back through the other holes in the bar and it leaks all over.
You may be able to find a chain guide plate that will fit on that saw, or just make one to keep the oil out of the honeycomb area.
I used a piece of a pop box and cut out a gasket that got me by for a while.
