Carvers, My Dad, Tom is Vermont working with me on the Hydraulics. Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM eastern time we will doing a Q and A showing the hydraulic saws and power units working on the live feed listed below. The recent modifications have made them faster cutting and lighter weight. The 5 hp unit will run an 18" bar with 3/8 ep chain at 11,000 rpm and it cuts great. I carved a 6' bear at the same rate I would have with the cso5 properly set on my 7.5 hp unit.

Whats different about hydraulic carving? The real difference is you are not holding the 2cycle engine, gas and oil in your hands. By using hydraulic hoses you bring the power to the light weight saws. Virtually zero vibration, no exhaust fumes and much less noise. Push a button and go they oil from the tank. Many carvers know I've used them for nearly twenty years in my opinion it's the most productive, economical and least noisy way to chainsaw carve.

You can sign in to the u-stream to chat live or e-mail Tom at tompinske2@gmail.com with questions. We will answer your questions on the live feed.

If you have trouble signing in order to the chat on the live feed e-mail us a user name and password to Tom's gmail account before Saturday 9am and I'll sign you in and send you back the working link.

Here are a couple pictures. We are making a light weight covers from fiberglass that discharge the sawdust much better than the Stanly covers. We have the lightweight twin hoses too they are seamed together and act like a single hose. This set up is awesome. Powerful and light my arms are very happy.

Also, for you carvers looking to learn the art form and wanting to know about Pinske hydraulic Power units and chainsaws Dennis Roghair will be teaching with one of our units out in Minnesota.

We are going to call the new 5hp unit the super 5. It is $4000. ready to plug in and go. Power unit hoses quick disconnects and the twin hoses. Both units match chain speed of a gas saw this allows them to have the same feel you are use too and works the way the chain is intended to run. At my request we have made modifications on the 5hp unit that exceed the specs set up by the saw manufacture. It cuts fast and smooth tune in to see it work.
