A 3120 with a 12" dime tip.

PS: Anybody have a sprocket or a 36" bar and chain for this bad boy which I could buy? And the attachment is for sale if anyone is interested!

3120K

Steve - If you put a bar and chain on this cut-off machine you won't get the rev's of a regular 3120 chain saw. "The Husqvarna 371K and 3120K Air Injection have a rev limiter built into the electronic unit which limits engine revs to 9,750 rpm."

Thanks John,
I ASSuMEd since it had a chain brake, they had just modified a 3120 saw with that contraption. If I'm wrong, can that electronic unit be replaced?

3120

Johns right, Baileys sells after market electronic units that will fix the RPM problem , but why?
Why not just sell the damn thing for what it is, and buy a chain saw?

Best of luck ...R.L.

I got the whole thing for $300 and it runs great. I still believe it's a chainsaw till proven otherwise. I believe all I need is a sprocket, rim, bar and chain and maybe a checkup on the oiler. If anyone has any parts, drop me a line.

E bay, so thats where my saw went........lol only kidding Steve..

They do this so the abrasive disc's don't break apart and become grenades.

The motor will pull a bar and chain. Not having used one before you may not notice how wimpy it is at the lower RPM's.

At 118cc's that thing is nearly a dirt bike.

404 chain on a 36" bar will cut like it was 1/4 pitch on that dime tip. But not at those lower RPM.

You got a good deal on it and changing the coil..or module, on it to one for a 3120XP saw should be well worth the cost.

Any respectable saw shop should do it for about one hour labor if you dont want to tackle it. Its two bolts and a spark plug boot.

Rock on..nice saw.
