Just got back from thomasville north carolina. The southern hospitality was overwelming. This was a great first show for all involved. A big thanks to Randy Everett for helping to put this together. Free rooms and some of the best food ive ever had a comp(besides Tim Clocks). Thanks to Echo and all involved who made it a success. I dont have any pics but hopefully Jerry Schaffer will post some. He was there and worked his butt off too.

I'll second all that. It was really nice seeing old friends and making a few new ones.

Randy Everett is just about the friendliest guy that I have ever met.

Maybe Jerry can post some pictures.

This could not have went well without all yaw and the wonderful expieriance of Jerry Shieffer, along with all that Mark Scott from T-ville Tourism did for the sponsorship and organisation. Still waiting on the final #s, but aproximatly $14,000 raised from around 60 carvings. Money split to carvers and T-ville Tourism. Tim Klock came out on top and Jeff Penny as #2. Hats off to Echo and again to J.Shieffer Can't thank all yaw enough for the wonderful comroderyinship (I made up that word ).

Randy,
Dittos to what all the other carvers said. My hat's off to you Randy, to Echo, Mark Scott, Jerry, and the other sponsors who provided food or equipment, etc. It was a great location and the folks were very hospitable and friendly. Great to see our carving friends and meet new ones. We also had the pleasure of meeting Randy's family. It was also a treat to have our family from NC come over and visit, then we stayed with them acouple days. Lord willing, hope to do it again. We just got home yesterday, as we did another carving event on the way home, so this is our first chance to respond. I might add there was great advertizing and publicity, like few other shows we have attended.
