Question about Stan Wells

I have a carving that my wife bought years ago and upon taking it down off the wall I found the name Stan Wells 2002 on the backside. I did a search out of curiosity and found him to be a popular chainsaw carver, did he also carve with tools? It never crossed my mind that this was done with a chainsaw.

Never heard of him Rob, you sure it isn't Stan Mills? Some info about him a couple posts down under "sad news", to my knowledge Stan hardly ever used hand tools, he didn't need em!

Sorry about that Joe, yes its Stan Mills. I always associated chainsaw art to just statues I guess. This wall hanging is very well done and always figured it was hand carved. This must have been one if his last carvings as he passed away the same year its dated. I wish I could figure how to post pics of it.
