| the plug n' play feature of this system makes it most intriguing. Face it, any muscle car, street rod, etc. needn't concern itself with strict EPA emissions (most states) and with the system merely running the engine I wonder why this took so long. Older systems of course in many cases had to be compatible with much more stringent OEM car manufacturer specs, cold starting in MN, hot starting in Death Valley, etc.
Can't see though how one could eliminate the exhaust gas sensor(s) as Wayne notes is the best way to measure a/f ratio. Hadn't thought about Boomyal's boat issues as water cooled exhaust pipe jackets would interfere with easy installation.
Humh...maybe we can all ponder this dilemma and figure out how to do so. Maybe a strategically placed plate ala' the old heat riser spacer (with the internal flapper) found in many older Ford exhaust systems with a hole drilled and tapped for the sensor? |
