Response to ( not with the proper fuel?)

Very few engine would detonate with the right fuel.
the right fuel can be pump gas all the up to 110 sunco racing fuel.
i have freinds who have build big block chevys built smallblock chevy
i have friend with built big block mopars, small block mopar
but back to your big block wont detonate. they will and due.
go find a mid 80's 3/4 , 1 ton pickup with a 454, fill it up with pump gas, then drag a stock trailer with 4 cows or horses what ever , or a race car trailer with a car on it , then find a long graded hill. then start accelerating like your going to pass someone , then
come back and tell me they wont detonate.
as far as a street car with a build big block with a modest compression ratio. no you probably not see any
why? because most big block chevies are put in light enough cars , with stiff gearing that the motor isnt over worked , or atleast it shouldnt.
