Joe,
youre right; it was running rich before the tune. As far as timing, the light jumps all over and thats why I said the cam is too big. I read somewhere the jumping is common for big cams. Right now it timed by ear for best at 3000rpms. The balancer is brand new too. I used white paint on the degrees lines to help locate the marks when trying to set the timing, but that didnt help. Thanks.
James P,
Ive found its really hard to locate a header for a 70 Mustang, 351C and 4-speed with factory z-bar setup. Hooker and Sanderson make a set, but I heard they need a little massaging to fit properly and they both require a drop bracket for factory power steering cars. If I use the factory manifolds I dont have to give it a second thought if its going to fit or not. I know Ill lose HP by using them, but Im fine with that. I just need help picking a cam that will work best with the factory stuff Im going to be using. Youre also right; my current 351w at 333rwhp is stout. Check out this base dyno run video I made a few weeks ago.

Fairlane62,
I have a brand new Craftsman timing light. Maybe its messed up. See my comments above to Joe. Thanks.
Tinman,
Thanks for the info on the cam and Ill double check the firing order and for leaks. So 3000 stall it is. Would it be pretty much the same if I use an AOD or C6? Right now, I cruise 70 at 3300rpm in 4th with original flowmaster 40s. Its loud!!!
The gethoned looks awesome. I wonder how much theyd charge for a set of 4V exhaust manifolds and what the increase in HP and TQ would be. Thanks.
Jim
