FastE that will be a part of your problem as the Mallory will have a very slow advance curve. Most performance shops will be able to recurve that for you.i would suggest you would like total advance around 36 and have it all in by 1500-1800 rpm. Unless your worried about mileage which I doubt. Also George has mentioned about your cam which he is right but I still beleive you can get alot more et out of your existing cam. If you run a 7000 rpm intake you can stretch the operating area of your existing cam somewhat and also the convertor will get you launched harder out of hole. While this may not be the perfect fix it will get you closer to your goal. Alot of us have been in this situation before and had to use what we have so to speak. Also check your fuel delivery and your carb ? If you are able to change cams go for it. I still beleive a 12.90 is possible with your cam. |
