...and you're right, I don't have any experience with them, because I've heard stories.
When I'm building a high dollar, high horsepower, high rpm race motor, my choice is to not reach for the cheapest set of rods, or the rods that I've heard the most stories about.
If it works for you, and you're having luck out of them, then that's great.
But if you re-read that post that you linked me to, you'll see that RPM/Eagle are on the low end of the scale compared to the other brands. Cleveland owners really don't have a plethora of choices in a stock rod journal size, but you see what the other builders/suppliers in that post said about them....they would be a downgrade to a set of Scats.
Here's my thinking on it....if the RPM and Eagle cranks are known for needing machine work, are known for failures, etc., then I really don't want to push any product by that manufacturer because of the reputation.
But again, my initial response was to the original poster, who has a HUGE goal to reach...and for someone wanting to hit 600hp (and knowing the rpms that have to be turned to get there), I wouldn't pass on upgrading the rods just because of the wrist pin style.
