My brother inlaw just bought a ranger pickup with a 302. He wants to up it to c motor sobi said I'd help him out. He bought a 74 2v Cleveland complete supposedly running. I had lined him up a set of 4v cc heads in Excellant shape which we will take anyhow. However after reading this post I thought maybe he is further ahead with the 2v heads? I know the 4v cc heads will be detonation resistant even at 10.5 on pump fuel but are a little less pull down low.i talked to him yesterday and he figures the Malik rockers and a solid flat tappet would be the way to go. We were thinking flat tops llike the kb 177 and a little milling to get to 10.1 with oc heads. I could do some bowl work on his heads or is the 4v the better way ?
