Response to Crankcase Pressure Issue
Geoff first off I'm assuming you have the ford style caps with the two small steel tabs that turn into valve cover?? I'm willing to bet that they have spread abit or the gasket that's supposed to be there is missing? There is no way your engine is making enough pressure to blow these off. One way to check is pull the cap off and hold the palm of your hand over the hole for a minute or so. If it does not go pffffffffffffffff then you are fine! Most of those caps had rubber or cork gasket which deteriorate and fall out leaving the cap loose on cover to jiggle around and fall out! If this cap was tight the way it supposed to be back pressure would not blow it off in a million years! With the baffles missing it splashes oil all over hell and slobbers down the cover! If you had enough blow by to blow those caps off you would surely see a blue haze through your tailpipes! Good luck also you PVC should tie in to intake vacuum or carb base plate!
