I see what you're doing by increasing the LSA to make up for the huge split in duration, but I just don't subscribe to that way of thinking. I would rather use a more equal duration split combined with a more narrow LSA and early cam timing. I've used the long LSA cams with the long split and the later cam timing and they just don't have the snap and the off-idle throttle response.
The Comp XFI cams (if you buy them off the shelf) are such...114° LSA, 6-8° split, later ICL, etc. I like those lobes, but I will custom order them, close up the gap quite a bit, and put it on a low ICL.
You and I have different views about what the Cleveland is and the different ways to make it come alive and/or be useful (as in a situation such as this). Nothing wrong with that either.
