It has been awhile since I updated this thread.
The Clevo is back in the Mustang and running.
I went with a custom solid roller cam to work with existing lifters, springs etc and a lock up converter with less stall.
The cam is a 236/236 @0.050, .636/.636, 112 LSA. 2500 stall.
I haven't taken the car to the strip yet as I've been totally consumed with getting the Falcon ready for the Power Tour. The Mustang feels plenty strong on the street. I'll know more once I get it to the strip:-)
The Falcon has a 200 cu in 6 with an Offenhauser Tri-power set up on it. I also have a dual exhaust Clifford header and Comp 260H cam.
It runs well but as expected, the tri-power was a chore to get set right.
I took the Falcon to the strip to watch a friend race his Maverick. I thought since I'm going to a strip, I'd run the Falcon 6.
It ran a best of 18.85 @ 75 mph with a blistering fast 2.94 60' time. It has zero out of the hole torque, but , was still fun to drive.
I think it is ready for the Power Tour. I leave Friday June 1st and should be home by June 15th. Michigan to Texas and back.
Wish me luck!
