Coming to a dyno near you....

This is an engine that I'm doing for a forum member. It's a 408C, CHI 208cc heads, and a CHI 3V 4150 intake. The heads and intake were used as shipped (i.e. no porting), but the valve springs/retainers/locks were swapped on the heads for something that worked a little better.

This one's getting its own write-up in Modified Mustangs & Fords, so keep your eyes peeled in a few months for it. Comp Cams was nice to us and floated us a cam, lifters, a case of break-in oil, and a set of rockers. It's nice to have friends. happy.gif

Here's some rough specs...

*351C 2-bolt main block, bored/honed with torque plates, line honed with ARP studs, square decked, restricted cam bearings installed
*Mahle coated pistons, Mahle rings, 1.5/1.5/3mm, ~ 10.4:1
*Scat forged crank, internally balanced
*Scat forged H-Beam rods
*Rollmaster timing set
*Melling HV pump
*Romac balancer
*CHI heads, 3V, 208cc
*Comp Cams custom solid roller, 248/254 @ .050", .655/.661 lift, 110/108
*CHI 3V 4150 intake
*Comp Cams dual valve springs, tool steel retainers, rockers, stud girdle
*MSD distributor
*Quick Fuel Q-850 carb

Flow numbers, per flow bench:

.100 77/58
.200 139/109
.300 208/151
.400 261/173
.500 294/185
.600 308/192
.700 320/198

Not bad for a little tiny valve and a little tiny port, huh?

I was a little more lenient with this build as it's going in a street/strip vintage Mustang with a built C4 and a 4.11 gear. Should be fun. happy.gif

It's getting dyno'd on the 3rd...I'll post results when I get them.
