I am building a circle track setup and would like some help. I will be running a stock block with a 3.5 stroke crank with 2.10 rod journals. I have a set of JE pistons that are for 6.0 rods. My question is what needs to be done to allow me to use the chebby rods? I know they are wider than a Ford rod. Do they have to be cut? What bearing do I use? Thanks for any help. Who would be the best company to get an aftermarket crank from at a resonable price. I know some have to use different spacers and such on the snout. I don't want that extra headache.

Scat offers such a beast but I think their forged crank might require a spacer on the front but I think I would give them a call about that because their cast stroker cranks for the Cleveland do NOT require a spacer. If ordered with a 2.100 crank pin it'll come in the Chevy dimension. In the past Ford guys would often use Chevy dimension rods and narrow them so that after grinding to the correct size 229 Chevy V6 rod bearings could be used since they are narrower than a Chevy V8 bearing yet have the same 2.100 journal diameter.

If the forged crank required a spacer...

...you could always use a timing chain with the spacer built in. I think Rollmaster makes one, or you can buy them from Scat.
