that signed the Declaration gave the ultimate sacrifice and were killed by the british for treason. Just about everyone who signed were very well off merchants or businessmen who had alot to lose. Please like Tom said this was not intended as a discussion thread sorry. My flag is up today

There was a movie on late last nite..

It was a 1959 or somewhere back there move based on a broadway play on the drafting/signing the document. Those guys knew very well that they were signing there own hanging papers.

"We have to hang together or will hang separately." I liked John Hancock "I signed it big so ole english George can read it without his spectacles!"

Those guys took great risk, George Washington face 25,000 Brits with 5000 soldiers.
