Undertaking piston/valve clearence checks last week I noticed my retainer/collet to seal clearance was VERY small (actualy hit one of the seals that wasn't fully pressed on.

What minimum clearence would one look for between the retainer/seal. (7000rpm Hydro roller setup.)

My opinion, I would be satisfied with no contact, or just a couple of thousands clearence, when things start wearing in the clearance will increase.

I think usually .050~.060 is a good number.
