This is a Sub-Forum I've wanted to have for a long time. Since my two Cleveland powered cars have been assembled for years, I started to just collect parts, then I realized I had a lot of money in those parts, so I took pictures of them and started the Wiki, (then sold them) that we would have a resource to look at the parts and maybe start accumulating a data base on each part for future reference.
The more I got into those old parts, the more I wanted to know.
I grew up in the 70's, and started building drag cars in the 1980 with a friend that still build chassis and occasionally races NHRA Pro-Stock. After Dave move to California I got into dirt stock car racing. In 1984 I supplied the Clevelands for a friend, to hear a 351C with high port plates twisting 7500 rpms though a set of 180 degree headers dumping on the grandstand side was music to the Ford fans ears, we had an instant fan base and they loved those engines.
I later became a huge Ford NA$CAR fan and followed Ernie, Dan & Bill Elliott as well as Davey Allison in those Cleveland Powered Fords.
Perhaps the homogenization of NA$CAR where the engines are all the same, and the cars all look the same. Along with the lack of Fords in Pro-Stock Drag racing got me looking back, and yearning for the "Good 'ole days" of Cleveland domination.
My passion for the old stuff got me into nudging George into helping me start this new forum.
I hope you all enjoy reading about the 351C "Glory Days" although it could be said its having a renaissance, 1969-1984 really were those "Glory Days" for our beloved 351 Cleveland.
I have limited the membership to this sub-forum, the reason for that is on that forum. I would love to invite all you Good "Ole Timers" to join us and email me so I can bump your membership to 4V and allow you to share what you remember about those "Glory Days"
I hope you all understand, and enjoy this new addition.
