Jes, this is called "vedarai". It's almost like kugelis in a sausage casing. I am not sure if there is a recipe posted here, I found this one, From Lithuanian Traditional Foods by Imbrasiene (available on

Bulviniai vëdarai

1 k (2 lbs) potatoes, peeled and grated
200 g (1 cup) bacon, finely chopped
2 onions, chopped;
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
salt and pepper to taste;
natural pork casings

Fry bacon and onion, add to grated potatoes. Add seasonings and mix well. Fill pork casings with potato mixture and place sausages into a greased baking dish with 1/2 inch layer of water. Prick sausages with a needle so that they do not break as they expand while baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F/180C, until sausages are nicely browned, baste several times with baking liquid, while sausages are baking.
They are served for lunch with fried bacon.

The messy part is filling the casings - I have made them.
