I don't think that fruit in moderation (2-4 pieces a day) would have a negative effect on your skin; in fact, I'm sure the minerals & other nutrients in them would improve your skin.
By sugar I meant the stuff you get in cakes & sweet things. It also includes honey, corn syrup, fructose (when used as an additive in foods), glucose, maltose, etc.
Basically, if it tastes sweet & it ain't fruit - it's ruining your looks & your health.
