If you meet one of the Great Toothy Grumblers that is not hungry , you may keep it in a good mood by stroking it on it's head ( the middle one).
Unfortunately , Grumblers are almost always hungry , and this head stroking only sharpens their appetite ( but it's the only chance of survival that you have)
