Neptune rings

September 17 2001 at 3:28 AM
Omega 6 Astronomical Institute
from IP address 195.93.64.169

To the Secretary General of UNO6 (United Nations Omega6) ---

Your Obesity, most Voluptous Secretary General !

May we bring to your kind attention, that around our planet a ring has started to develop, like the one around a faraway planet Neptune in the Sun System!

Please bring the Space Force into some kind of alert.
According to our computers, the ring started in the same orbit, as the Earthling ship SS Incredibable is located.
As soon, as we get the spectograph back, which we loaned to the Omega7 Mining Corporation, we will try to determine the chemical components of this ring.

birthday canes and rings and danger

September 17 2001, 7:57 AM

I missed the Director's birthday so I'm trying as fast as I can to wrap my little gift for him now. It's a silver walking cane for bashing careless bicyclists on the head. Sady helped me make it. I so hoped the Director would like it, but something dreadful happened and I don't know what to think, nor what to do now.

The cane has started to glow and it's chattering away about nebular rings. It demands to speak to the Captain, and wants something to eat. It won't let me put it in a gift box either.

Captain, please come quickly and bring Fang. The glow around the cane is growing, and it seems a little fierce to me.

WOW ! ... GEE, DUCKY....

September 17 2001, 12:45 PM

I called the Captain and he said he'd be here soon.
He thinks it might really be a Mundoxian Cane Beast .... ( they're very rare, you know).

They can be dangerous if they haven't had enough alcohol in their diet , so be very careful.

Let's try to feed it a mushroom-burger !

Delightful Dunmoxia

Yes, it's probably a Dunmoxian Cane Beast... In fact , I'm so sure of that I'm almost positive I'm certain !

Safe enough in it's present form, but make sure it only eats mushroom burgers .... don't give it any alcohol !

And above all... DON'T , UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES , WEAR YELLOW SHOES NEAR IT !

The ring is (comparatively) safe....

September 17 2001, 10:58 AM

The only solid objects in it are bottles ( empty).
The main body of the ring uis made up of a vapor that spectrographic analsis defines as 99percent pure alcohol.

In summary : Somebody up their is partying !
DON'T LIGHT A MATCH !

What will the captain say ?

September 18 2001, 6:28 AM

We have to confess, that the rings around Omega6 are vaporized rum from His Rumificence's Personal Rum Store in fuel tank No 7. The director and me thought to celebrate our birthday aboard my V2 rocket, making grog from those delicious dancing lemons from Omega5, and two or three gallons from the captains rum.
BUT : After syphoning off the rum, the automatic disconnect of my V2 malfunctioned, sending 10,000 gallons of rum, vaporised, in orbit around Omega6.
After our first shock we decided, to throw empty bottles into the ring around Omega6, just for stabilisation. Mr. Grundy was of big help, cleaning out the Presidential Suite, where he is living with our (more or less) adored Primadonna.
Please forgive me for the faulty valves of my V2 equipment. My Grandfather said, they would last for at least thousand years - sigh --

trying again

September 18 2001, 3:37 PM

I feel bad about your gift Director. I've made another for you. I hope you like it. It doesn't seem to bite, or talk, or do anything strange. So far. I'm sorry it's late.

I thought you could relax on deck and gaze at the stars while musing about the opera.

I just wish the spy glass were better for bashing careless bicyclists. I don't think this is much good for bashing even tardy singers.

Love, Ducky

Thank you so much, dear Ducky !

With that fine present of yours I will look like Admiral Nelson !!!
At the moment Reinhard is using it to locate some bottles in the rum ring around Omega6.
Mr. Grundy, by mistake, threw some pint size perfume flasks of his beloved wife into the ring. We hope, that Reinhard will retrieve them before Mrs. Grundy misses her Chanel No.5 or whatever she splashes on herself.
