The car (.... ummmmm... the bed?) has been tested !
I think an auto-pilot will be needed though, unless the captain's driving improves.
Now..... about that challenge to a race.....

No, no, not a race!

March 31 2002, 3:26 PM

Do you think we could send the Captain on an urgent mission until the race is over? Or how about a duel on another planet? Since his latest test drive ended in disaster -- ambushed by tomato plants -- we all have red paws and red feet from crushing the fallen tomatoes and we are exhausted. (The Danish chef isn't happy about tomato wine but he doesn't like waste either.)

We are having tomato soup for lunch and marinara sauced pasta for supper. Sady said she is seeing red. I wonder what she means?

No space race !

March 31 2002, 7:56 PM

Besides being fed up with even having my Labskaus meals swimming in tomato juice, I am strictly against races in space.
It is me, who is asked to provide our captain with rum during the race.
It is my beautiful V2 rocket, getting dents from the empty bottles, with which our captain litters the racing course.
Piaf, get the bottle of castor oil from my cabin, and pour a generous amount into His Magnificence's tomato wine, just before the race starts.

further instructions

April 3 2002, 5:30 PM

I have the castor oil, Reinhard. Are you sure you don't mean cod liver oil? Or safflower oil? Or olive oil?

Castor oil might give the Captain the "runs." If he has the "runs" he will win the race, for sure. I am awaiting further instructions. Yours obediently,
Piaf

Ahh.. castor oil !

April 3 2002, 7:32 PM

It's odor filled the air at car race meetings, early in our history.
And I believe it was it was used in the engines of early fighter planes !
If it's good enough for those heroes, it probably good enough for me.
( Might need to plan on more pit stops though.)
