Snacks and things

from IP address 64.105.116.17

Have you heard about the computer mouse Barnaby ate, Piaf? He said it tasted awful and that's why he didn't eat the mouse pad too. Sady is so silly. She thought it was a real mouse and was sad. Oh well, Harvey's mouse was full of Spam and we're better off without it.

Let's go to rehearsal and sing our little hearts out. After a little snack, of course.

Manners during rehearsals

August 17 2002, 9:44 PM

Our Primadonna Assoluta (Mrs. Grundy) has advised me strongly to publish these rules about behaviour during opera rehearsals :
Rustling with food wrappers or clanging of wine bottles is strictly prohibited.
Cats shall not smack and dogs shall not burp during rehearsals.
The dancing frogs shall refrain from catching flies, while the ballet is not in motion, and our Primadonna sings (even if flies threaten to enter Mrs. Grundy's wide open mouth when she emits her famous note "High D").

No rustling wrappers or clinking bottles ?

Seems a bit extreme !
But I have a solution... I'll get Baron Rupert to come up with a pipeline..... perhaps even one for wine and another for rum ?

Performance rules

August 21 2002, 8:32 PM

Nice to hear from our Prima Donna Assulta on this sensitive topic.

I hereby decree that any drinkable liquids taken to opera rehearsals and/or performances must be carried in non-clinkable bottles, or must be consumed before entering the performance area.

While I think of it, snoring during the execution of the performance should be kept to minimum volume.

Dangerous owl aboard !

August 17 2002, 10:01 PM

It is really too much !! Just the hungry cats went to rehearsal with a nice snack
Now a big owl appears in my pantry, brandishing a proton gun and demanding a snack : Sandwich with live mice, wrapped in gum tree leaves. I will not make Peesers and Weesers victims of this outrageous demand !
Harvey, do you have some spare computer mice ? Please fill them with gun powder, so we get rid of this owl

Aussie owl

According to my book about exotic birds the owl is NINOX CALGOORLIENSIS. Perhaps the captain invited that rare bird aboard.
