The Captain is sad, I think. He is feeling Unmagnificently Unvisited. Thank you, Reinhard, for trying to help. I know you are very busy recruiting people to work on the opera. A successful opera will cheer the Captain up.
I hope lots of people sign up to crochet socks, sing, dance, and act. (I hope Mrs. Grundy doesn't though.)
I'm sorry Piaf. I thought your leaps would bring comments from visitors. I was wrong. Now there are technical problems involved. I regret to have to tell you that you must leap until I can revise the file for the old crows nest. Until then, I'm afraid you are stuck. Hang in there.
Most magnificent "cat loving" spectator of cat jumps !
Even in the bad old days of rocket testing,
cats were only forced to do one jump in space -
from V2-A1 to V2-A4.
Afterwards they were cuddled by my Grandma for at least two weeks, and fed sweet cream.
So please release Piaf !!
We might replace the blanket by a bathtub filled with Red Bubbly, so you can take over the jumping.
Piaf is having to make do with "half and half". She is cleaning her face now and seems very happy. (I'm not actually sure what your equivalent of "sweet cream" is called here at earth station Chicago. Whipping cream, perhaps, or "creme fraiche"? -- but that is hard to find too.) Cuddling is easier to supply.
PS. Good luck dealing with the squabbles below. Mrs. Grundy, Byron, and Ducky seem to be having a few problems with one another.
