Alright, so I went back and played Rage of the Dragons with Elias (and Alice) a bit more. I have once again confirmed that the final boss Johann is an absolute bitch to fight. I have no idea how to touch him, let alone get his life bar down to zero. Anyway, moving on to Elias...
Forget everything I said about his super, the Maximum Delirium. It's not an autocombo move like the Hou'oukyaku and Ryuuko Ranbu at all. Instead, it's really just a very beefed up 'Hell or Heaven', where Elias rushes forwards, grabs his opponent with one hand and sucks some life out of them, grabs with the other hand and draws some more life, and finishes off with a vicious cross-slash like motion, flinging you away. This move heals him quite a bit.
Forget what I said about his winning stances. He has two. His 'quick' one, which he does in the middle of the bout when the first member of the opponent team falls, is a simple hand gesture - he sort of waves it around. I don't think he even says anything. His 'finishing' win pose, which he does when the second / last member of the opposing team falls, is a very short bow. He says something in that deep ruimbling voice of his, and I can't hear it at all.
The 'back turned' one must be his loss to time pose.
