I buy a lot of books, and make a lot of characters, but don't do many campaigns...
I got sick of D&D a while ago but just got that new d20 Modern thing and it looks really cool. Too bad the stats don't make much sense. I have a big thing for realistic statistics, skills, and abilities, and only six stats doesn't cut it for me, I guess. Even so, this book was too good to pass up.
I'm getting World Tree and Children of the Sun for Christmas. ^_^ They look neato. I've been checking out Hero System 5th Edition (wondering why they don't split up dexterity and agility, since dex is so expensive) and Exalted (nice, but because there are charms for every skill, not many skills, and the attrs are numerous but a little odd) lately, too... but yeah, haven't done D&D for a while. Always seemed a little restrictive, and GURPS always seemed too vague, with only four stats, and IQ representing Willpower, which never made sense to me...
Does anyone else have the d20 Modern book? Course, I live in Seattle, which is the HQ for Wizards of the Coast, so it might've come out early here... sometimes it does that...
