Now that I have slept well (and tried to have a normal day after sleeping well) I can write up a bit on the whole venture.

Singapore:
Stop flinching away from me like that. Yes, I was in Singapore. Yes, Singapore is hit by SARS. No, I don't have it. I was there before it started getting too bad.

SARS was still annoying because Singapore Airlines pulled out of Mauritius due to lack of numbers and then Mauritis Air pulled out of Singapore due to SARS, which made the return flight somewhat tricky. But seeing as I have now returned from the wild blue yonder obviously things eventually worked out.

Mauritius:
Still approximately 60 km by 50 km. After a while, seeing as the place is rather small, you run out of things to do. It's a good thing I wasn't there all that long this time then. ;p (I am sad for my parents however, who have to stay for another 9 months.)

Its good points include that the ocean is never more than an hour's drive away, no matter where on the island you are. It also has a certain little house right by the beach (and I mean right next to the beach) that Mum and Dad can go to every three weeks. There was much swimming and snorkeling and certain amounts of sun-burn as well.

There was a great cruise to a small island on a catamaran with other tourists.

I did not watch all that much satellite TV this time, and certainly no wrestling. No great loss. ;p I was more interested in the news channels this time, as apparently there was some war on and some virus scaring lots of people.

Singapore Airlines
Amazing. Incredible. Despite being in economy class, I had plenty of space; every chair has a personal screen; there were "movies-on-demand", baby; I got to see "Returner", a very nifty Japanese sci-fi movie; the food was actually *edible*; and I could just go on and on.

*And it was cheaper than Qantas.*

If it wasn't for SARS I'd consider Singapore Airlines in the future.
