Kyo has been an evil billionaire since the beginning of the series and thus the comparison is shaky. We expect him to be an evil billionaire now. Were he to suddenly be a high-school dropout with a bitter feud with Iori Yagami with no explanation given as to why, then many would cry foul I'm sure.
