Last Sunday, I went to this local anime convention. Some of you guys might remember it since I posted this review last year. I wanted to do something like this again for this year, but alas, my low-end digital cam (with no LCD monitor, no less! Take that, TechTV!) spit out blurry shot after blurry shot. So I did the other best thing, I asked for pics from some friends. Here's another look at cosplay in the Philippines:

- My friend, who gave me these pics, cosplayed as Hinoto. I kept joking that I was waiting for her to trip on her dress during the catwalk. She ended up one of the finalists.
- Ragnarok Online is making big waves in this country as shown by a lot of RO cosplayers. One of the best ones was this Female Assassin.
- Guilty Gear fans check out Dizzy!
- A little treat for Racey and any other FFX-2 fanboys reading this: a group of FFX-2 cosplayers. >BD You can bet they were popular during the show. The Yuna and Rikku cosplayers won third place overall.
- A very old Sentai show very close to the heart of most 20-something Filipinos is Shaider. Here's an I
- Second place overall went to this Shiva cosplayer. That's Shiva from FFX, I think.
- And finally, the winner of the cosplay was this guy in a Matrix Revolutions robot. Don't ask me how he got that thing inside the mall. O_O; Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go there on the 2nd day (when he entered the contest). I sure would have liked to see it in person.
