The fate of Aliens Vs. Predator is one that evokes great passion in those Mac gamers who are dying to play this exciting game from Fox Interactive. Rumours have been afoot that MacSoft may be picking up the title and publishing it, which was suggested by their OS X Compatability list (spotted by a very vigilant Dan "Remy" Dickinson of Utterer.com). Unfortunately, MacSoft let MacGamer know that the game is definitely not part of their upcoming lineup. "We have had discussions with Fox about it," said Al Schilling, sernior product manager at MacSoft, "but we have not yet come to an arrangement, nor is one imminent."
Al explained that he did do some OS X testing on the game and that it inadvertantly ended up on their compatability list, but that had been a mistake. A publisher for Aliens Vs. Predator has yet to be found. MacGamer recently interviewed Bill "Burger" Heineman (programmer of the Mac AvP port), and you can check it out at the link below.
