Although I do not know from first hand knowledge, I have heard that this should not be attempted. One of the main reasons is the water resistance factor from a conversion. Although there are several current Speedys that use the Sapphire crystal, I could not say that a conversion would work the same.
The sapphire crystal is also not cheap. I have heard that it can cost $250 USD or more. This is certainly not cost effective.
