Sinbad stood at the bow of the Nomad staring intently at the horizon, as he had everyday since returning to the crew after his encounter with Jackel and Rumina.

Doubar and Firouz stood at the tiller, quietly talking about Sinbad and his behavior since that day. The whole crew was worried about their Captain, Doubar more than the others. On several occasions he attempted to talk to Sinbad about why he needed to go back to the Isle of Tears so desperately, and why Sinbad was so concerned about Rumina. Sinbad would only say that he owed it to her.

Sinbad couldn't explain to himself why he needed to see Rumina so bad. He knew she was still alive, Maeve assured him of that because Dermott was fine. Sinbad didn't understand her comment, he just knew that as long as Dermott was fine, then Rumina was still alive.

It was another reason that he needed to find her. Sinbad saw another side of Rumina, one that lightly touched his heart. It was a caring, compassionate, and even fearful Rumina that he saw when they were talking on the Dreamwalk. When she played with the puppy after saving its life, and sending Sinbad back to his family before Jackel could hurt him, Sinbad saw her compassion side. And when she fell over the edge of that cliff and Sinbad helped her back up, he saw real fear in her eyes. He knew in his head she was evil in many ways, but that time spent with her made him realize that there was some good in Rumina. And he owed it to her to make sure that side of good was safe.
