My New Year's Resolution

I am making it my mission in 2005 to ensure that, before the stroke of midnight on December 31st, 2005, there will have been a ground-breaking for a proper soccer venue in Calgary.

I have had it pictured in my mind for a long time - a 6000-seat venue (all-seater, covered, lit, all the amenities). It can easily be built in stages (if need be) and could be expanded if the need ever arose.

I've done the research. I've done the math. It can be built cheaply and efficiently. The only question is land (the City owes us the land after the Mewata fiasco. It's time they stepped up and did the right thing.)
